SkinCare: All of the Good, None of the Bad

Skin is the entry point of all things beneficial and detrimental to health. So we have to be extra careful on what we put on it.
This was me back in 2009 and 2010 when skincare for me was unheard of. This was the time when I started experimenting on make-up to cover up my skin's flaws. I have a very sensitive skin (which my eldest son inherited). My skin tends to breakout or develop rashes when I put something on it. This was also the time when my aunt (who's really good at taking care of her skin) adviced me that I should start taking of my skin at 20's, since aging is at it's rapid pace already and signs are showing up. So, since I WASN'T one who genetically has a really good complexion like those who has 'porcelain-like skin', I heed her advice and tried some commercial brands that a new employee like me could afford at that time:)
I've used several brands of skincare including those that we often see advertised on tv (I will not mention them here). Unfortunately, those products didn't really deliver what I expected (at least not for my skin type). I've wondered if there's really such thing as 'hiyang-hiyang' cause if there is, they should have put a disclaimer such as "this is suitable only for this skin type...etc." Lately, I've learned that if the products are really that good as they claim, the results would be consistent even after decades of usage:-)
In 2012, it was a blessing I discovered the best skincare brand and anti-aging company in the world that took years of research and development to create their products. With their 6S quality process, I was told that they have the best and safest ingredients. The products are unlike any other and are patented. I was even more amazed that when I started using them, the results were instant and I didn't have any breakouts. I did my research, then I found out that non-commercial brands are generally more effective as compared to those being advertised. Here's why:
*Commercial brands spend millions for advertisements and celebrity endorsements.
PROS: They may hire influential and already good-looking personalities to represent their products to penetrate the market.
CONS: They would have to compromise the quality of the products to cut cost. They may use low quality alternative ingredients especially when their published prices are very low.
*NON-Commercial brands spend millions of dollars for Research and Development before they launch their products in the market and they don't have celebrity endorsers.
PROS: They may spend more on harnessing the most natural, safest, and high quality ingredients there is to create their products.
CONS: It comes with a price. Since they don't advertise, only a few people may recognize them.

There are people who don't mind spending more especially when they know they get the best quality. Don't you agree?
This principle is applicable in almost everything we use like on clothes, bags, accessories, gadgets, shoes, cars, name it!I can go on and on with the list.
They said this is really practical.:-)
Although when time came that I was blessed financially, I started making practical decisions too esp.on things that I invest my money on. Although this doesn't include the clothes, shoes, and accessories (I buy cheap but high quality ones or I buy them on SALE:) This will be another topic.:))
Rather, I started investing on the best quality skincare. For me, SKIN in the best ACCESSORY, at least next to a perfect SMILE:-)
For me, the best skincare products wouldn't cause dryness, irritations, redness, peeling, and skin cancer like those with alcohol, formaldehydes, or strong sulfates. They should have PERMANENT and CUMULATIVE effect not the ones that wash off immediately.
I am so excited to share with you the products that gave my skin a healthy and natural glow. These are my Basic DAILY and WEEKLY Skincare Regimen, that contains ALL of the GOOD ingredients and NONE of the bad ones.
Why I love them? They are all organic, natural, and patented and they are SAFE enough to use even during PREGNANCY:)
(FACE)
1. Nutricentials pH balanced Mattefying Toner (best for the Combination to Oily type of skin) (Daily)
This contains strawberry extract rich in polyphenols to tighten and refine pores. It's oil absorbing mineral powder provides an instant matte finish and controls shine.:)
2. NaPCA moisturizer (Daily)
This improves skin's moisture binding capacity with the natural humectants NaPCA and Hyaluronic Acid. This is ideal for all skin types.
3. POLISHING PEEL Skin Refinisher (Weekly)
This resurfaces and polishes skin to immediately deliver fresh, glowing complexion benefits that are clinically proven to be equivalent to a professional treatment. It's like having your own diamond peel treatment (minus the abrasion and dryness) at the comfort of your home:)
4. FACE LIFT
This excellent product is recommended for those who want their face to look and feel younger. This product immediately reduces the appearance of fine wrinkles as it lifts the outer layer of the skin. It contains Albumen that is responsible for the tightening effect. This improves the skin tone, color, and conditions the skin for a more youthful appearance.
Other uses: If you have open pores, this may remove the stubborn white heads and blackheads on the face and on your back (bacne) that usually facial centers may not address totally.
(BODY)
1. LIQUID BODY LUFRA (MY top pick! Every other day use :))
This gives your body a healthy glow by exfoliation. Combining moisturizing aloe vera with ground walnut husks, this gently removes rough skin, leaving your skin soft and smooth.
*I swear by this product! It gives an instant lightening effect. This is the best and safer alternative to 'bath salts'. :-)
2. LIQUID BODY BAR Moisturizing Cleanser (Daily Cleanser)
This is a refreshing, moisturizing body wash that gently removes impurities, leaving skin feeling soft, clean, and hydrated.
This is soap-free so it doesn't dry up your skin. I use this both as my facial and body cleanser.
3. BODY SMOOTHER
This will seal in moisture from your bath or shower and is a quick- absorbing body lotion that locks in moisture to prevent tightness while nourishing skin with aloe vera, algae extract, and vitamins A and E (for real):-)
4. PERENNIAL Intense body moisturizer *fragrance free (for super dry, sensitive skin)
This helps your skin thrive, even when facing harsh environmental elements. Formulated to enhance cellular durability, this rich body lotion features IBR-Dormin--- a component of Narcissus bulb extract. This will improve your skin's natural defense mechanisms for comfortable, healthy-looking skin year round.
*My eldest son has a very sensitive skin. Before, he usually has dermatosis, so his derma prescribed an expensive cream. He had also used other commercial lotions but none of them helped (it was like wasting money). Good thing I found Perennial, it has way better ingredients and relatively cheaper too, considering it's content and volume. This has blessed us a lot ![]()
